About Dr. Bednar
Dr. Lawrence Bednar is a retired research engineer who has loved the sciences from boyhood, accepting evolution dogma early just because science-types were supposed to do this. His concept of God, science and life changed completely when he discovered the reality of God through the experience of salvation in Christ. This experience is one in which God’s touch produces an entirely new direction in life. Love of the written Word of God becomes paramount, and for Dr. Bednar, this took the form of love of biblical textual studies, as appropriate, for this too is a technical subject, one that is aimed at presenting all of the truth of God's inerrant eternal Word. Biblical scholarship is the ministry to which Dr. Bednar chooses to devote all of his love and time.
Bednar, a graduate of Independent Baptist seminaries & secular universities, serves as a board member of the King James Bible Research Council, and a textual consultant for Graceway Bible Society in Brampton, Ontario. As a visiting professor he teaches Biblical Hebrew, Apologetics & Hermeneutics. He presents seminars on topics like recognizing evidence of God’s hand on true scripture, recognizing biblical inerrancy, illustrating consistent accuracy of the KJV & its textual basis and contrasting creation science with evolution nonsense. A science background has proven useful, doubtless due to guidance of our Creator who knows from the beginning all that is needful to prepare His people for the ministry that He ordains.
A personal observation
In the Christian life there is a Crossover point at which salvation in Christ takes us far beyond all ties to anything that hinders our following of Him. There's no turning back after discovering He is the true author of the written Word representing Him, which supersedes all concerns. Great men like Jan Hus, John Wycliffe & William Tyndale crossed over under circumstances that always centered on dedication that cannot be suppressed, due to an absolute certainty that truth for eternity dwells in God’s Word.
We ordinary redeemed ones also have crossover points, and that of the present writer involved ending of all ties to a family religion, one that over the centuries horribly persecuted those who followed true biblical Christianity ordained by Christ. Further, in my pre-salvation days, much heartbreak resulted from a steady lack of fulfillment of keen desires, those that could easily have snared me in false religion and destroyed my soul. Suppression of those desires is now remembered with the greatest joy as I see Christ preserving me from pitfalls of my human nature. If I could live life over again, knowing all that God's Word has taught me, I picture myself very early running toward salvation & the crossover point at top speed, doing cartwheels along the way.
A conclusion
The importance of God’s Word is paramount to all who discover God’s Hand on its pages, and all such come to revere all that it has taught in its two developing stages throughout the centuries, especially the certainty of a joyful eternal destiny for all of God’s people. Yet today the accuracy and very identity of the scripture text over the centuries are steadily attacked by “scholars” and various liberals. The present writer seeks to show how unjustified and misleading these attacks really are.
